Happens everywhere. Don't worry about it too much.

Both my Ibanez RG470 & EB MM Petrucci also has a slight finish crack near the neck. I don't think its anything to worry about as it will most likeley get bigger as time goes on but it is just a finish crack. Both guitars stay in tune very well & it has not affected the playability.

I heard it happens more frequently in areas where there are more climate changes causing the wood to expand.

my old Strat had one.

the problem is when you have your guitar in its case out in the cold for an extended period of time (above a few minutes) and open it too soon after arriving in room temperature. just like electronic equipment, let it get accustomed to room temp before opening the case.
