Neck Screws

I'm about to build an RG550 clone and want to do the original neck joint. Only problem is i cant find anywhere that sells the 2 shorter screws for the bottom side of the heel. Does anyone know where i can buy some in Australia, or somewhere that will ship them overseas?

Your local Ibanez dealer should be able to get them in. They may take a while. the other alternative (and probabaly cheaper too) is to just buy the strat type ones, and cut them to size.

Only problem is I dont know of any Ibanez dealers, and there definately wouldnt be one within an hour drive of me.
Would cutting them really work? Because they wouldnt have the point on the end.

Where are you in Australia, I might be able to point you in the right direction?

It doesn't really matter if there is no point on the end, remember you drill the holes in the neck.

I did this with an AANJ style neck joint on the custom my Dad and I built. Bought some screws and washers that were the same diametre and thread, and cut them shorter as they were too long. Worked fine.
