so, i have this 94 mexican
telecaster that i have had since high school. it fell into disrepair and got shuffled into the background. i recently had it fixed up and now it smokes both my other guitars. its a tele special that comes with a stock humbucker in the neck and a single coil in the bridge. the week after i got it, i replaced the bridge SC with a seymour duncan hot rails tele humbucker. neck HB is still stock...
here is the dilemma....i have always like the
X2N pickups. Very loud and sound great with distortion. I have an extra of those hangin around.
i also have an RG421 with evolutions. since the tele came back, i like the 421 less and less. it just doesnt seem to have any b*lls. so, now im thinkin that i wanna replace the stock tele neck HB with either one of those X2Ns that i have or take the neck evo out of the 421 and stick that in the tele.....
which one do you guys think would sound better in the neck of the tele? evo or x2n? the stock one sounds good, but im thinkin that if the stock one sounds good, imagine how good one of those others would sound....
anyways...suggestions? opinions?
