Need some insight on an Ibanez

Hey guys, been away for a while now, but I recently got a job and things started to turn around a little bit and now I'm finally getting back to guitar playing. For those interested, I used to make those renders of Ibanez guitars a while back here on the forum.

Anyway, I saw yesterday a guitar on sale, and I need more info from experience Ibanez owners to see if it's a good buy. The guitar is a:

Ibanez RG 470FM 94' (MIK)
Transparent Black finish
Maple fretboard with black dot inlays
Edge Bridge
Seems to be Near Mint condition

It's running for US$470, fixed price, in an auction site here in Brazil, so I would guess the same guitar would be sold for about US$300 over in the USA. Do you guys think it's a worthy buy? I thought about getting it and refinishing it (The black finish doesn't look good with the maple board), changing pickups and so on.

Hmmm...now that I'm looking at the pics, doesn't seem like it's an Edge. I asked the vendor to confirm it, if it's not an Edge, I think I'll pass...don't want to have to also exchange the bridge.

If it's a 1994 MIK RG470 it will be a LO-TRSII. Sounds like a really nice axe to drop a better quality trem in to, but USD$470 is a bit much for it, even if it's mint. Maple neck is a rarity though, so maybe $300-350 might be worth it, then you could drop a nice Gotoh licensed Floyd Rose in to it and have a kickass axe for under USD$500.

Well, I guess that's a good idea. I'll see if I can get him to drop the price to a more realistic one and do what you suggested. If not, I'll hunt for something else
