New colour for RG2020x - In japan, anyway

Anything a bit lighter would be appreciated...maybe like the AV on the S2020, amber, or even clear might look nice. *The dark stain on this and the RG520Q models is unfortunate for otherwise nice guitars.

That's nice. *It's similar to the 3120's new finish. *I am glad to see that Ibanez is lightening up.

The bodies on the 2020's have scraped natural edges on the top, right? *If so, my 3120 may have a sister if I can save enough money up before they discontinue them!

Actually that color's been available in Japan for a while now, since winter NAMM I believe.

I think the darker fnishes are necessary on these guitars. *Ibanez sems to be making the bodies out of >2 pieces of wood, and they don't always do a good job of matching them up color-wise. *I've seen a couple nasty s2020s and a hideous 2027 where one of three pieces of the wood was significantly lighter in color than the other two. *It really looked bad with the lighter finishes.

Personally I think a nice oiled 2020 would be great, so long as Ibanez sticks to two-piece bodies of decent-quality.

Going by the yen rate here 130,000 comes to about $1015.62 and thats retail!

That should be the sale price and not retail (although in Japan they aren't too far apart)

right now the yen rate is at 128yen=$1.00 Thats on base. The rate might actually be different off base. I was just taking the 130,000 yen and dividing by the 128. Did I do that right *lol* ?? Thats how I came up with the 1015.62............................thx.

ahem... That really isnīt a new colour. I played a Rg2020 with that trans red finish over 6 months ago. I donīt know when the color was relesead but itīs far from new!
