Did you specifically tell them to be opposites? (pink/green vs. green/pink)

Yep I had them specially made through a distributor, and yes I made sure that they could be arranged in a zebra style (opposites)
This is what it used to look like
and now with the new Evos

Very Cool - nice combination!
Did you ever explain on that other thread what the discoloured bit on your fretboard between the seventh and eighth fret was? Just curious.....

Re: New evolution pups in Green and Pink Zebra on RG550 DY
Yeah back in the day when I loved Jason beckers idea of number ing the fretts I had 2 4 6 8 stickers on the even fretts and the glue from number 8 sticker must have got dirty and dissolved into the wood. I recently did a clean as you can see its not so black anymore...
So its from a sticker.

Re: New evolution pups in Green and Pink Zebra on RG550 DY
Just had a quick play with the guitar, house is empty so I can crank it up a bit. Awesome just bloody awesome. BUT !!!!
I will sorely miss the PafPro in the
neck position
. It gave me this awesome Dire straits sound in 4th position ala mark knofler. I just dont get that with the Evolutions. This guitar is ready to rock though which is why I bought the Evolutions, but when I eventually buy a Jem, il keep the pafpros just the way they are...
Shows how much a pup makes a differents to sound.
Any suggestions as to if I should re place the single pup that comes with the original rg550 ??

Re: New evolution pups in Green and Pink Zebra on RG550 DY
i assume you mean to get rid of the 8th frett color, and not to burn it
no but I will try that. I assume lighter fluid wont harm the wood ?
