New "Family" Pics

it has been awhile since my last group shots were taken and my arsenal has changed quite a bit since then so it is (past) time for another "family shot". i'm starting to get to the point of having mostly what i deam as "keepers" that won't get swapped or sold for one reason or another and few "beaters" i keep around for fun and backups.

the only two (working guitars) missing are my Tacoma ac/e that lives in my teaching studio and my RG550mxx DY that has yet to arrive.

from top left going clockwise:
Custom Jem (Falbo) "Woody"
'90 777VBK "Blackie"
'04 7VWH "Elvis"
'07 RG550rxx
'07 RG550mxx
'9? ESP "The Mirage" (collage)
'91 S520 mutt (eventually getting painted)
C7 Schecter Blackjack (my only 7 string)
'05 RGA121
'06 USA Washburn N6 "T$"
'06 IC400
'88 Charvel Model 4
RG Custom (mutt) "Flash"
'96 Hamer USA Special
'06 SZ4020ntf

here's a cool shot i liked.....

these are 3 projects in various states......

these are the Jem and "jem style" axes hanging together.....

for the non-trem fans....

and the last shot is for the RG20th fans....

i'm still wanting to post about the RG550 BLk i've been playing onstage for the past couple weeks so i'll offer a small something up about it soon in another thread oh, and sorry for my crappy photography

I'm a "non-trem" fan, so I enjoyed those, lol.

Nice collection there, its growing.

How you finding the IC400?? I always wanted an Iceman shape in the collection.

thanks. it is "re-growing" as it was dwindled during the era of relocating and starting a new teaching practice there are quite a few i dearly miss but i can't complain, ce la vie.

the IC400 has a nice feel and not a bad weight to it. the pups are very weak and will be replaced with some sort of Duncans shortly. it is BIG and requires a BIG case, which i'm still on the prowl for. i like the specs on it and wanted another radical shape without dropping the nearly $1200 Gibson is asking on a new white Explorer (yet, hehehe )

Re: New "Family" Pics

thanks bro. i've been planning shots for months but it's just hard to get everyone in the same place at the same time, hence the "family pics".

that's a two-piece solid mahogany body and a blank ebony fretboard on a maple neck. not sure if it is any specific kind of mahogany but it looks nice and sounds great.

thanks gang. i love my arsenal. there are a few axes i'd love to add but it is getting to the point of a true sickness. i've tried to decide on 4-5 to keep and sell off the rest to fund other gear and i just can't bring myself to do it.

i tell everyone who has been standing near by when i open the case on the RFR to be for warned and put on sunglasses.

i don't play the RFR and haven't done a set up of any kind on it. i don't even want to wipe it off so i can keep from fingerprinting it up so as not to have to worry about finish swirls. as cool as the RFR is i do have the DY on the way and i have zero intentions of playing the RFR so ........

...... be carful what you wish for Jim
