I just won a sweet 95" sabre s540!

Ill be picking it up in the next few days!

Tons of pics to follow the thing is sweet, flamed maple top in amazing color, gold hardware lo-pro. custom made in lay with the cats eyes abolonie the guy lives close so im picking it up within the next few days!

yes the emerald green id probably the coolest saber color for the mid 90s

i think its an air nortan in the neck and a steves special or a tone zone in the bridge

either way it sounds great! congrats with your new axe as well! they play like butter.....

oh definitely... I can't wait for it to get it next week! I'll post pix after I give it a good setup and upgrades.

a TZ would have the pole/screw pieces like an Air Norton but to my understanding, SS's do not come with black pole pieces although I could be wrong...
Also, does the FM make it a bright sounding axe?

hmm i dont know i think ive seen them with black pole peices but then again i could be wrong i know its a dimarzio anyway, yes the maple on both sides of he body and the mahogany in the middle make it really bright sounding kinda a blusey jazz sounding tone with a clean channel then too a really nice doistortion tone to it when cranked up over all its a great axe but i do reccomend a pickup change.

oh and for the pickups id go with a steves special in the bride and a air nortan in the neck that seems to be a killer combo
