New Guitar Day - RG550 20th

Hi everybody

A nice man from Fedex showed up at my house today with a nice box from Rich!!!!

It had a very nice black RG550 20th & the Untold Story book inside

I haven't had much of a chance to play it yet, but so far I really like the Edge bridge, feels much nicer than the Edge Pro on my old DBK.

The finish looks pretty good on 1st inspection, only slight niggle is the frets are a little sharp. But I am comparing against my Suhr !!

Last of all a big thanks to Rich, I was a bit nervous about importing a guitar from the US, but Rich made it really easy.

Rich is doing the setups as a $250 option on the RG 20ths. I didn't go for it.

The factory setup seems pretty good

Ahh, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Look at the finish on that BK! Yes, it's black, but it's so deep and shiny. Mmmmm.

Congrats.

Whoa! I'm surprised by how glossy and good the black looks! The Suhr doesn't look half bad either. Congrats on your new edition, markg5150. Very nice quality pics too!

ahhh new guitar day, the anticipation of the guitar arriving, The worry over wether it will turn up today or tomorrow, Then..... Knock knock, you get a great buzz of excitement, and there it is the delivery man with your precious.

The RG looks excellent, I ain't seen any good pics of Black 20th until now, that looks awesome.

It won't be glossy for long - it'll soon have lots of finger prints on it. I must remember to polish everytime I've finished playing.

It's actually quite heavy, the body is alot bigger than my Suhr

LOL - I'd been checking the Fedex website every 30 minutes for updates. I'm "working from home" today

I think the 3 ply pick guard makes a big difference visually.
