New guitar - RG421

Found a used RG-421RB for $304.99 shipped.
I've searched for a couple weeks, and this is the only 421 I have found anywhere that was royal blue. The shop said it was in "mint" condition and totally stock. They even said that would "set it up for stage" before they shipped it.

I know they were being sold for $279 new on closeout back when, but I'm happy still paying $305 for it.

You guys think I payed too much?

Mate if you're happy with it don't let anyone tell you you paid too much.

I, for one, would be happy with that amount, especially if they do set it up perfectly.

It's a great guitar, I've got one with a Dimarzio TZ/AN set up.

yep thats why i bought it. Im not much up on trems. I've always like the RG style, but never knew they made the fixed bridge til recently.

I'm going to put some locking tuners, graphtec nut and saddles, and change the pickups (undecided) on it. It should be a perfect (to me) guitar for under $500 total. You can't beat that with a stick IMHO.

One question, does anyone know if its got the AANJ or not? I know 2002 models have it, but i dunno bout 2001s.

congrats on your purchase.
I bought one last year and it's become my most played guitar. I had them pop evo's in it before I took delivery though.

I believe that all (*not sure about japanese customs) RG style guitars from the mid-late 90's on all had the AANJ, with the exception of the Jem7FP. Someone correct me! I'm not totally sure this is the case. But I think it is.

wil..

not sure why this even needs to be stated, but all RG421s have the AANJ (they were introduced only a few years ago - not in 1992 )
