New here, looking for some help.
Like the title says, I'm new these forums. I really like what I've seen and read on here as a viewer and finally decided to become a member. I use forums for help most of the time, but I do contribute as well. I like to give people advice and do my best to point them in the right direction for their inquiries.
I've done an extensive search on my issue on here with posts dating back to 2005 and not much turned up.
I have a 2006, got in late 2007, S 2170FB prestige. It is an amazing instrument and contrary to popular sentiment, it is one of the better MIK prestiges I've seen either on the net or in person.
The only real problem(s) I have with the guitar is that when I do bends on several of the strings, I hear a "ping" almost rattle/rattling noise coming from the ZR tremolo. It could be the saddles and it could be something else, I'm not sure at all. I know it is really difficult to describe a sound over the internet, so I do my best.
I've been told it could be a set up problem, a string problem, a trem problem, it could be slighting fretting other notes/frets that aren't being played up the neck.
What can I do? I've seen where this isn't uncommon either. I'm looking for places near me that I can take it to or maybe even call to at least ask their techs about. The place I bought it from is amazing, but I'm very disappointed in the tech their. I honestly think he's stoned half the time and the last time I had him look at it, I don't think he did the best job if he did it at all, namely because one problem I asked him to fix was still NOT fixed.
