Re: New pgm?

Apparently it's going to be called the Fireman! Read about it on the Racer X forum.

Someone suggested that to Paul via email, and he responded saying that he would probably go with it, and sent the person one of his space suits! Very cool.

I believe he recorded some if not most of the album with that guitar(both the HH and the SSS one).

If I would've known they were having a contest I would've suggested calling it the "El_Cid"

That's the wrong way to look at it. Think of it as an opportunity for countless threads asking whether people think it's overpriced or not. Maybe even a poll or 2. I can see it now
"Which Ibanez Signature model do you think it the most overpriced"

People will complain that for what Ibanez wants for the new PGM is stupid because it doesnt even have a floating trem.....

Personally, Im excited about it.

I wonder what the girth of the neck will be. Will I be able to get my hands around it or when can I get my hands on it.

The reverse Iceman looks awesome. It's back to the no-nonsense tone that a huge neck, solid neck joint and hard tail will give. Kudos for PG - I think it'll sell.

He's had that guitar since Get Out of My Yard.

Where are these so called rumours of it going into production??? I would be very surprised

Re: New pgm?

Whatever the hell it is (and id like the HSS 301 more), id hope its japanese... Korean sucks (look at S necks and pockets), and Indonesia (like the new Korn and Slipknot) well, what can i say...

I dunno, i know the 301 isnt even available down here, but looking at the 555 and 333 jems, and the PGM3 (yeah, not even 30, just '3') doesnt get me too excited about a cheap crippled version of whatever any artist is playing...

Make it good and japanese and at least give me something to hopefully save money towards...

Thats what she said.

Paul has had this guitar for a long time. I first saw it on the GOOMY DVD and posted it a while back, but its good that it's gaining in popularity.

yep, too much modern satch which sounds awfully like improvising over a backing track!

Hmmm...I wouldn't say that. From all the Korean and Indonesian Ibanez I have played....none of them have stood out as being BAD. Apart from the really low end stuff (gio etc)

I personally love my rg350 and that's made in indonesia, and I have a MIJ US Custom to compare it to.

But hey...just my opinion

P.S I'm really looking forward to see if the "Fireman" or HSS PGM is released. I think I would prefer the Fireman since I would like something different than an RG style guitar.
