It's Here!!! Serial No. F0629161! Actually I've had it for a few days. Unfortunately I was unable to get some pics up sooner as I've been preparing for a vacation to the Middle of West Virginia. Since it was an **** find, I was expecting a few blemishes. Thankfully there is only on in the lower back of the neck, but you don't notice it when playing. It seems to be aging a bit fast for a guitar from '06, but more on that later.
So after playing it initially I can say that this is the best guitar that I have ever played on. The neck is just perfect and the frets are all nice and level, no buzzing what-so-ever. Plus the sound is un-frickin-believeable!!! It can go from a nice metal sound to some great cleans. I played it through my Splawn and it absolutley just owns! The action was a wee bit high for me, and the original owner put Diaddario 46-10's on it. I'll get to changing them when I get back.
Of course the day it came I jammed with my friends and the both agreed that it sounds monstrous. In the context of a band it niceley fills in as a rythem guitar. Of course when it's time for solo's you just hit a boost and she just screams!
The case is in excellent condition as well and it fits in it like a glove. I wish all guitar cases were made like this. Unless the case is punctured there is no way for it to damage itself by shifting around. So here are the pictures that I took just now, while on vacation.
Purty innit?
One of the Fretboard.
Here are the flaws that I spotted....
This is a closeup of the string retainers, as you can see they are not painted all the way through.
Ditto with the screw's for the neck join.
Strangely the screws for the switch seem to be rusting already, which I think should not happen for an '06 Guitar.
Tell me what you think!
