New PGM300

A '94 model with zero fretwear!!!! It did need some cleaning up, which i've mostly taken care of already. I did a setup on it, and tomorrow i will give it a test drive, and see how i like the tones.

peace

More pics!

I always loved the PGMs with (a decent) tremolo...

Re: New PGM300

My initial impressions of this guitar are quite good. It has the best action of any guitar i've owned (other than the Vigiers which are in a class by themself).
I was apprehensive about having no tone knob (still unsure how i feel), but i think i can live with it. I'm not the world's biggest DiMarzio fan, but whatever models these are, are pretty cool. I was initially thinking i would swap them out, but i may actually end up keeping them.
The LoPro Edge trem is my favorite, and works flawlessly. The guitar is a little on the heavy side (i'm getting old), and though the pic doesn't show it, the paint has faded to a sort of yellow-white, which i don't dig, but it's okay because it's time i stopped playing guitars based on how they look

This is my new number one.

jkahrs, if i ever decide to get rid of it, i'll keep you in mind...

peace

Re: New PGM300

Some basswood is quite heavy. My RG 20th is a fairly heavy chunk. My original 550 weighed approximately 2 feathers.

Anyway, nice PGM!

Re: New PGM300

I like to get one of those...but I understand the neck is 19MM instead of 17 at the first fret, is that true? I know he has HUGE hands, so maybe a wizard 1 is too small for him.

Supposedly the neck is a tad thicker than the standard wizard, which is fine by me, as this neck feels "just right" to my hand...
