new trem question

Was just wondering if any of you guys or girls who have an RG with the new trem (edge pro is it?) can do the old trick of using a string several times after it breaks by just winding a bit more string through from the top? I ask this because they said you don't need to cut the ball end off, so does that mean it has to have a ball on of is it optional?

You're right, the ball end is optional. The design basically means you don't have to trim it off if you don't want to, and the string is still held in place the same way as on the old trems - the ball end ultimately isn't used to ancor the string.

I've got a PGM30 with the edge pro, i think its great. yes ive clipped the ball end of the string one time and it worked fine.
