I've wanted to do this for a while and show you my new guitar, got it about a month ago and can't stop playing it. It was my 28th birthday in March and allot of things were going on at the same time and I knew I was gonna have a crappy birthday so I decide to treat myself. When the RG20th came out, I was really GAS'ing for a black one, but with a bit of research I decided I wanted an old one from the bay After even more reading around I really had my heart set on a black RG550 1991. It was the only year I wanted but had a hard time to find one that was in good enough condition, I found a few very cheap but were very damaged. Then, 3 days before my birthday I find this. 17 years old, MINT, I cannot stress enough how MINT it is, never been played basically! No pick scratch, no fret wear, no
fret board finger marks, the protective plastic seal is still on the
truss rod cover and back plates. The bay seller said, as far as he knows the original owner had it in a case for 17 years and sold it to guitar center. The seller, being a Ibanez fan knew what it was and bought it only to sell it later on the bay not his thing I guess. but it was EXACTLY what I was dreaming of! I love this thing. Here are photos.
