NGD....90' RG-550.....Black

Just got this today....a 1990 RG-550. This one's really, really clean. The one and only thing I don't like about it is the Duncan in the bridge.....I'm not a fan of Duncans by any stretch. For the life of me, I don't know why people swap out the v7s and v8s in these old RGs. IMO they're the best sounding stock pups ever. Other than that though, this thing's great. I'm gonna hunt up a V8 or maybe a Zebra EVO to throw in there. Also thinking of getting a chrome pickguard for it.

Agreed, I really like the V7 and the V8. Although I have found that my guitar with those is a bit buzzy.

I asked the seller.....they said they weren't sure,but it said "DDJ" on the back. Don't know if that sheds any light on it.
