NGD: Ibanez RG550

Woohoo! Didn't think I'd get it but I'm totally stoked!!!

Gots an RG550 coming this week. Thinking of putting on a blue pickguard, plates, truss rod cover, knobs and pups.

Time to butter up the wife with gifts.

Was it on the bay last night? I saw that exact guitar on there and thought about placing a bid, impulse buy really, but I came to my senses and decided not to. Not a good time money wise. Great looking guitar. What's the extra mini switch for?

I would, that or a mirror pickguard would look good, as well as a white pickugard and white pickups and accessories...

Re: NGD: Ibanez RG550

it was on the bay. I wanted a nice maple neck Ibby that was cheap and I never really saw any 550's in that color with a maple neck Kinda reminds me of a 770DX without the sharkfins (that will make Dee happy.

I was thinking maybe getting matching dot inlays a la the 565. That would be cool.

Not sure what that switch is for. I just noticed that when I went searching for a replacement pickguard. I wrote the guy, see what he says.

Sweetness! I'd go with a white or pearl pickguard too; maybe white pickups. I'm guessing the toggle changes the config of the H-S-H switch. That seems to be a popular mod. And the Original Edge seems in decent shape.
Killer score!

hmm, white pearloid would look pretty classy. Maybe better than the blue

Like that LB Jem with one? What was that model again? Anyone have a pic of it?

...It might have something to do with the Seymour Duncan that's in the bridge...
