Re: Ok so where is THIS Euphoria?

I know that Ibanez will be releasing a different color Euphoria in 2010 but as far as I know its still a steel string one. AND you know how this works.... they say NOW that they will be releasing a different color one in 2010 but we will see in 2010 what happens. :-)

Re: Ok so where is THIS Euphoria?

The label reads

EUPHORIA
Steve Vai Signature Model
EP5NA-RYL (this is stamped in the Model number area and the serial number area is blank)

I have no background info on the guitar and would appreciate any help the group can offer. Thanks,

Sam

Re: Ok so where is THIS Euphoria?

My brother owns a construction company and loves to wheel and deal, so I always have him on the lookout for guitar related items. He got this as partial payment for a job he did. I doubt that helps, but that's the way it happened. As we're from So Cal, I'm kinda thinking it's some sort of NAMM sample or prototype. I've never been to it , but isn't the NAMM show down in Orange County every year? I included a picture of the upper bout so it could be compared to the guitar Steve is playing in the other photo - different grain pattern ergo a different guitar.

Re: Ok so where is THIS Euphoria?

That doesn't give the source, but that guitar was never displayed at NAMM. It was probably a proposed model that never got approval for release, but how it got out will remain a mystery.

Yeah, I wonder if being a nylon hurts its value though.

This one has an orange vine? or is it just the lighting?

Re: Ok so where is THIS Euphoria?

On this guitar, the vine stem itself is kind of Orange(kind of a burnt orange - not a vivid orange), but the leaves are a silvery/grey MOP. The one Steve is playing is distinctly Orange, but again, that could be a lighting issue.
