I'd say a pawn-shop RG570 is probably going to be about the most bang for the buck you can get out of any Ibanez RG. If the guitar's got nothing major wrong with it, snap it up, you can probably get a good deal on it too, if you bargain, and considering your friend works there.
That color, I'm guessing it's probably early 90s, '91 or so, which means it's probably got the old style square neck heel, but on the plus side, the headstock probably matches the body. But that's just a guess, based solely on the fact that the only red RG570 I've ever seen was that age.
