Old Ibby LP model
So there's an old lawsuit LP selling here locally. The thing is, I can't find out anything about it on the Ibanez Register. Have any of you guys seen this particular model? Here's a pic of it:
Thanks in advance.

Re: Old Ibby LP model
I dont know what model it is, but I do know that all of the Ibanez Lawsuit models are fantastic. I have heard nothing but good things from them, and they are collectable today. If its at a decent price - I defenitely say go for it!

+1, yeah, I've heard the same thing. They were really trying to make a name for themselves.

Re: Old Ibby LP model
All the lawsuits were fantastic? I might have mixed up my facts here, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
I seem to remember the models up to the lawsuit (>1975) are thought to be less good as the models after the lawsuit (1975<). But the lawsuit models are sought after by collectors as they are more "correct" copies of LPs.
Any more inputs on this?

Re: Old Ibby LP model
Early 70's Ibanez 2350.

I'm puzzled by the silver hardware as the customs had gold hardware so I wouldn't be surprised if this has a bolt-on neck.
Back in the 70's this was as good as a Gibson but now with CNC machines and much greater demand for decent inexpensive guitars, even the least expensive Epiphone or Tokai will be a better guitar than this 30 year old Ibanez.

Re: Old Ibby LP model
I've read the whole reason Ibanez had the lawsuits on them was because they were making instruments of comparable or even better quality than the big two manufacturers, and selling them cheaper to boot.

Re: Old Ibby LP model
Have a close look at the photo and you can see the square heel and where the neck slots into it, as appose to the neck butting up to it flush. I'm convinced this is a bolt on neck.
