Painting an RG Neck

I have an RG Maple neck I want to get refinished in White, yes including the fretboard. Is this possible, or will it have to have a refret??
Cheers

It will have to be refretted and probably wont look so good either way I really dislike painted necks altogether which is why i tend to prefer ibanez to most guitars.

dying a maple fretted guitar is fine, i did it myself once. No need to mask the frets up as it'll wipe straight off..just give them a polish up after to remove any dye that may have remained.

When fender lacquers their necks they do it after fretting. A heavy finish over maple is mostly done after the fret job, then you clean it from the frets and buff it out. I don't see why white poly would be any different than clear or amber, except that on a "used" neck, getting all the grime stripped off so the paint will stick is easier done without the frets.
