PGM 500

Dose anyone around here have a PGM 500?
I just want to find out other peoples opinions on these guitars. You don't seem to hear to much about these. I got mine about 1 year ago for $200!!! Good Deal? I think it's a '94(not real sure how to figure out the date). It's got a few nicks on a couple of edges. Nothing to serious. I don't care to much for the pickups. If I play to hard the pickups kind of mud-out. Thinking about getting some cream colored EMGs for it.
Sometimes I think about selling it. I rarely ever play it. About every 3 months. But when I do bring it out I feel it's to damn cool looking to sell! I guess any guitar with a f-hole shaped control cavity has got to be good!

The PGM 500 is a great guitar. I was very close to picking one up a few years ago for the bargain price of £399. So your $200 isn't a "bargain" or even a "steal". It's either more akin to a mugging or an armed robbery

If it's a 94 it's serial number should start F4, and it should have a Humbucker from hell in the neck position. I think Paul requested twin Tone Zones in either 95 or 96 which have serial numbers beginning with F5 and F6 respectively.

For $200 it becomes and excellent test bed guitar and the price you saved at just $200 really affords it a set of EMGs

I am looking for a PGM400!
I didn't know there is a PGM400 until I saw it on Ibanez Japanese site's PGM history

It is the same as the PGM500 except it comes with a strat-like tremolo!
