Well if you click on the Ernie Ball link on Paul's website it takes you to the RPS strings in 10 gauge.

Re: PGM Strings?

I never thought about this. So PGM's are really set up for 10's? I would have thought 9's, despite what Paul himself uses.

The guitar comes with 9s if I am not mistaken, and can be set up for whatever size the player prefers.

Re: PGM Strings?

Probably D'Addario 9s from the factory. I doubt Ibanez buys strings from different companies jsut so you can get the same strings as the artist whose signature model you bought uses.

I thought perhaps it was 9's, but want to make sure!

I actually prefer 9's. If i was to buy say, Ernie ball's instead of D'Addario would these fit the guitar as its set up now?

The reason is there are no good guitar techs in my area!
