pgm vs prestige

Hey my name is chris. Im doing a guitar project and for the neck im looking at eather a pgm800 neck or a ibanez presitge neck off rg1570. The question is, i hurt my back in afghanistan and lost a bit of feeling in my left hand, i can still shred just sometimes my hand cramps i was wondering what would be a better cure the thinner prestige neck or the thicker pgm neck. I have pretty large hands, and the current axe i have is a f400fm esp ltd and its hurting my hand ( thus building my new ibanez ) The style of music i play is along the lines of gilbert petrucci ect ( well i try but cant touch those guys ) Any responses would be wonderful thanks very much.

hmm, I want to say the pgm neck but I am not very sure, wait for the other opinions that are definitely better than mine

. My dad has back problems from child birth and what helps (which you probably already know) is going to the chiropractor on a scheduled basis, my dad was not suppose to be able to walk by age 25 but he is now in his 40's and he still walks fine all because of his many visits to the chiropractor. Also, for me I have neck problems which help stimulate migraines for me and along with the chiropractor I go to a massage therapist and that helps even more. Now idk how you hurt your back but these 2 methods my family uses work out really well for us. (Just some ideas

, or you can try the baseball bat method

)

Wait a minute, the PGM neck is thinner than the prestiges necks, especially the PGM800.

In fact, the current PGM301 neck is only about 1MM thicker than a Wizard.

Im sorry then i was miss informed, well what ever the case what neck would be a better solution would you say?

I guess it depends on your hands really. You could do with trying out both first.

I can tell you from experience though, the PGM301 is one of the best Ibanez guitars out there right now and is definitely my favourite. Paul has HUGE hands so I guess there is your (partial) answer

cant.. its a **** thing brother... As of now the pgm800 neck is the winner....Any rejections?

Nah the PGM800 neck is brilliant, but very very thin

how does it compare to the jem neck

Well, there are different shape Jem necks so it's hard to say.

i dont see the pgm on there, any chance you know that neck is wider as far as nut width?( refering to the prestige or pgm800 )

Sorry I should've mentioned, PGM is the Wizard profile for the most part, with some having an extra MM thickness. The 800 is pure Wizard though if I remember correctly.
