Pgm301wh

This is a gently worn 2004 Ibanez PGM301WH

Does anybody have any feel for what it is worth?

Re: Pgm301wh

Hmm....I dunno, I saw a PGM on 'evilbay' that was like a 2003 model with an Edge Pro trem on it going for like $600-$700. It was in really good condition and I really wanted to buy it, but I didn't have the money right then and there.

That must have been PGM30 - generic Ibanez pickups, the 301 has DiMarzio Paf Pro's and Jem single so it should fetch around $800.
I'm also after one of these but the fact they come with the super skiny wizard neck is holding me back.

If the specs on the Ibanez website are correct, the 2005 models have a slightly thicker neck. (18mm at the nut.)

Re: Pgm301wh

I'm using a PGM300 '03 model. Is it really true that the 2005 model has thicker neck? Can someone verify this? If it is so, probably can consider getting the 2005 spare neck. THanks.

Re: Pgm301wh

I will sell it if I don't have to give it away. It is the first Ibanez I've owned and a wonderful intorduction to the quality guitars they produce.

I bought it because I prefer S-type hard-tail guitars (as opposed to tremelo and stop-tail). It was either that or a Washburn Nx6. I'd still like to test drive one of those (or a Face Eraser).

I sold several other guitars after I got it. It was _that_ much better (for me anyhow). I let go a LPS Heritage Cherry, Strat hard-tail, and Y2KV. I just stopped playing them. I'm not a guitar collector.

I recently acquired both a used RG-1521 Black and used RG-1521 White. They were about half the price of the PGM. I.M.O. they match the quality of the PGM except for the pickups. The V7 & V8 pickups really aren't bad but I put an 81 & 85 in the black one and a TZ & AN in the white one.

Now I'm all Ibanez. And if I could just play like Steve, or Paul...

If you decide to sell her, be sure to post it over in the "other" website's PGM's available thread! --Jason
