pickguard for rg570.

I have a gold rg570. I have modded the electronics. I have it wired for HH with a 3way and just a volume pot. I have the 3way in the original vol pot location and the new vol pot in the tone pots old location. this has left the middle pup location empty and also the 5way swith position vacant as well.

I would really like a 3 ply white pickguard. I don't know where to get one that is routed for HH and vol and tone routes but no 5way. Pickguard paradise has cool custom stuff, but I just want a white one... I don't want to pay $100 bucks for it.

If anyone knows where to get one please let me know.

Thanks!

I've got a buddy who bought a sheet of pickguard material and just cuts his own as he needs it. Just trace your old pickguard, and make the cutouts with a drill/dremel or other small cutting tool. Thats the cheapest way I can think of doing it.

550s have HSH. Are there any front route RGs that are HH?

I put a pickguard on my RGR570. It's quite an easy mod. Here's the pic:-

Re: pickguard for rg570.

Yes, RG550 pickguards fit. You have to be careful about the early vs. later as the volume pot hole has changed. I have added pickguards to several 570's and a 1570. I enlarge the pot holes(insert joke here) and using a small router bit, I enlarge the 5-way slot to look like the clear JEM fp slot. That way, the gaurd can mount without removing the electronics. You can order a 550 guard from a few makers for between $40 and 55 and specify that it have no middle pickup route to cover the hole. BTW, that sparkle blue looks KILLER!

Thanks dude! It's taken a bit of a back seat since I got my RFR 20th though.
