Pics of my ice blue S
Here are photos of my Ibanez S470IB. I even made a video of it, which I'll post here later on.
This is my first Ibanez. It sounds very warm, deep and beautiful! I find that I can't use the ZR for more than subtle things without snapping the high E after a few minutes, though. Or maybe I haven't set it up right.
Anyway, enjoy.
The camera I used is a Sony Cybershot DSC-500 6 megapixel camera.
Kind regards,
Alwin

Nice... but the fretboard looks a tad dry- is that just the camera?

I was about to say the same thing.
Guitar looks great, I love the S and that finish is really nice!

Re: Pics of my ice blue S
Here, you can see the
ice blue
finish up close. As you can tell, it's glitterish. It's very beautiful. In the picture it's not as beautiful as it is in reality, though.

Very nice. That came out in 2006? I never saw this finish on the S series.
You like how it plays?

That's because of the flash.
It's a
cool
guitar, eh? I use it, mostly clean. Distorted it sounds somewhat
muddy
sometimes. Maybe I can experiment with different
amp settings
, though.
But it's a great guitar. Earlier, it was available in
purple
and
orange
, but I thought those colors made it look like a candy cane. When it came out in this color, I thought it was great.

Well, it took getting used to. I had been playing pretty much nothing else but my Yamaha, which plays completely different. The neck of the S is U-shaped, while the Yamaha's neck is C-shaped. This, of course, affects thumb positioning. I
love
the contours of the body and the ZR is great, although I don't think I have it setup right, seeing that the high E snaps quickly after some whammy bar use.

. Reason: Didn't type the '/' in the second bold tag behind the word 'love'. It was a typo.

It came out in 2005. Here's a pic of it from Rich's 2005 NAMM report.

Re: Pics of my ice blue S
Thanks, Dee.
I do have some guitar polish in the house. I could perhaps give it a few drops of that.
This is my first double locking guitar. It a world of difference with my Wilkinsion equipped Yamaha. It took me a while to get the guitar set up right.
The factory setup blew. The strings were super tight and the action was like that found on an acoustic flamenco guitar.

Here's a video I shot. I also shot a longer one, but I have yet to upload it properly onto Photobucket.

Re: Pics of my ice blue S
Very cool guitar, I dig the colour very much.
I would definitely give that fretboard a shot of Lem Oil though.
