Pics of RG760 and Relative!!!

Just got this from a guy locally. The original knobs had bad corrosion so I replaced them with knobs I had lying around. But my plan is to add a pickguard and Jem style knobs once I decide which way I want to go color wise. I was thinking white pickguard and leave the black hardware and black Jem knobs. The stock pickups actually sound good. The bridge has plenty of bottom-end with decent midrange and smooth highs. The single coils are somewhat anemic and uninspiring but I don't use them all that much anyway. Maybe I'll put a Fasttrack in the neck at some point. This guitar plays awesome. The neck is super straight and the action can be brought way down if needed. Any suggestions you guys have on upgrades or color combos feel free to give your input. Thanks and enjoy!!

NICE!!!! I love those RG760 SSH so rare and with those sharktooth inlays. she looks to be in great condition. I just got a RG2550e, the neck's can't compare with the old Ibanez stuff. Congrats!

Yeah, the older necks just feel better. The 760 neck is thinner than my Jem neck. But the Jem is a first year 87' and I think the first few years of Jems had thicker necks than the more recent ones i've tried. Both fast but totally different shapes.

the red 760 is beauty as she is, adding a pickguard will kill her instantly ( my honest opinion).
If I were you, I would leave her just the way she is.

You want a pickguard, find an RG750!
You get sharks, PG and the same vibe.
That looks clean enough to be a keeper as-is.

I'm with everyone else. If you want a pickguard get a 750 and sell me your 760.

Re: Pics of RG760 and Relative!!!

Alright, you guys have talked me out of the pickguard. I will just change the knobs and most likely add a Fast Track to the neck position.
