PL1770 Pro Line What to do about PUPS? need advice

Hey everyone, just picked up a nice PL1770 today, and it's pretty sweet. Right now it has some weird pups, I've actually had another guitar with them, they have really big poles, and the single coils are tappable. I remember someone telling me these are vintage Schecter pickups from WAAAAAAAY back in the day. They sound ok, but there's tremendous buzz right now, so if I were to keep them, I would have to track down someone else's handiwork and fix. That is option 1.

Option 2: restore to original. there's a set on sale right now on evilbay and I could grab those and hopefully figure out how to rewire. She'd be all set as original. I've heard the original pups and was quite impressed.

Option 3: I have a ssh set of IBZ USA pups. this is where it gets tricky... For one, I don't know what hte heck the buttons and switch do, and can you single tap the IBZ USAs single coils? They look like a stacked humbucker, AND there are 4 wires, 1 red, 1 green, and two black that are taped together. CAN I TAP THESE?

Option 4: I have a Seymour Duncan Custom that I wouldn't mind throwing into the bridge, and then I would take your suggestions on 2 single coils. Anyways, THANKS for reading my long probably silly post!!! Pics up soon.

It's your project, I didn't give it much thought. But I'd probably install the IBZ USA pickups, since they're a complete set, it's all you'd need and you already happen to have them. And I'm quite sure you can coil tap them, yes.

If the IBZ USA pickups have 4 wires, then you can coil tap them. It's as simple as that
