Please help identify my RG560

Hello all! First post at the Jemsite for me, but I've spent a little while lurking and reading up on a couple of things on the main page. I'm fascinated because my main guitar is my trusty RG560, but I have NO information about it.

I've been told it's an early-1990s RG560. V2 bridge humbucker, two S1 single coils. Serial number F027436. Black basswood body I guess. Oiled maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and dot inlays (what material are they?). Edge trem. One volume knob, one tone knob.

The thing I would really like to know is how to decipher my serial number F027436 and find out once and for all what year this guitar was made.

I am not the original owner. I bought it from a guy who didn't want it anymore for about $600 Canadian (I really can't remember, it was two years ago).

Thanks, and I think I might enjoy my stay here if things continue to look good!

There are some articles on this site that will teach you.

From what I have read before I believe before 1997 the 2 numbers following the F is the year, and after that, the 1 number following the F is the ending of the year.

Which in your case a "0" makes it a 1990 model. Which means it has the blocked heel with the cutaway instead of the All Access Neck Joint?

Yes, true. I have the big bulky bolt (a la Fender style).

Where might these articles be located?
