Please help me identify this RG !

This is a RG from a local seller. I think it's a 450 or an old 550 (with the old V1, V2 & S1 pu's) But i'm not shure. I have never seen a 550 with that colour / pickguard.

And what about the trem ? is it the dreaded TRS(II) or a (Lo) pro edge ?

The pictures is all the usable info i got right now, but i will check out the guitar if it's a 550 or similar with an Edge trem.

Looks like a 550 to me. Hard to tell in the pic, but it looks like an Edge trem.

I agree, small photos, but that looks like an early 550 to me.

Re: Please help me identify this RG !

Most probably a RG550, but if you have a pic of the neck heel it would clear things up. If the neck heel is angled it is a 550 if it s thick and straight (like a Strat) it is a 450. Some 450s also had Edge trems, but not angled neck heel. Another note. Those V1 and V2 humbuckers are much nicer to my ears than the later models v7 and v8 pups...

Thanks a lot for a very good answer, but i'm not shure if i understand the thing about the angled neck heel ? Are we talking about a AAN or standard neck joint ? could you please explain it to me like i was 7 ? I know how a strat neck joint looks like..

btw the serial indicates a 94 ? (F426121)

I think a 94 should have an AANJ. Ana standard neck joint but angled looks like this:

Note that on the bass side it is thicker than the treble side.

Did the RG550s come in that body colour?
I'm leaning towards the RG450 with the Edge trem. I guess an early model...

that's it:

as Jazzedout said, thicker on the bass side, and thinner on the trebles.

yep:

Electric Blue.
i think the neck's been swapped, hence the '94 dated serial number, though, as Jazzedout also said, a '94 dated neck should be AANJ, but we all know, at Ibanez, dates aren't reliable. there could be some left TJ (Tilt Joint) necks when serial numbers switched to '94, who knows. the pickguard as well as been replaced, to me.

Re: Please help me identify this RG !

They did an "Atlantic Blue" RG550 in the 90's that came with a white pickguard stock, IIRC. Can't find it in the catalogs, but I've seen them on evilbay.
