Hi,

I have the chance to get a 1999 MIJ Ibanez RG 550DX in a kind of red.
See picture below




If I get this guitar I have to resell my 1994 MIJ Ibanez RG 547AH in RBR

What do you guys think, which is the better axe to own???

It's hard to say. I would keep the 547, as it's a rare find.

It's fortunately just 1 chip She's 12 1/2 years old.

I'm going to take her to a carpenter and ask him if he has an idea how to fix it - I think he will be the one who has most experience with see-thru paint on wood *g*

Keep the 547, that is a cool looking guitar!

definitely keep the 547...

you can find 550 easily, it's not rare. and the one in the picture I guess not the 550 DX.

550 DX has mirror pickguard, matching color dot inlays, and maple neck of course.

the one in the picture could be 505 or 550R ( rosewood).
