Too bad those reflections can't be made into a finish. They look pretty cool. Nice axe, btw.

I like white pearl on blue better myself, but cool guitars there Jimmy. Though, why a Tone Zone in the neck? Would've thought that would completely overpower a PAF Pro in the bridge.

Here's a recent(if silly) pic of my modded '89 RG760. EKG made me the pickguard and rod cover, pickups are: Super 3 bridge, Blue Velvet middle, and The Breed[neck model] in the neck.

Hey guys

well i was bored of the sound in my RG450 so i thought id go nuts and make a true 80`s rock guitar

I guess already you could see where this is going....

I cut out a center hole in my spare pickguard to try and fit a humbucker from one of my other guitars....

since i already had the v2 in there i thought id use the v1 i had lying around

took ages to fit and make sit right...

however i forgot the cavity of the guitar wouldnt let a humbucker fit

so... out with the chisel...

test fit time...

thought i would take the time to fix the trsII trem while i was there

and now i have an rg that would make paul gilbert proud...

and all my girls....

what do you think....???

Peace

Jimmy

Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

This is my RG1527CB with DiMarzio Blaze Custom ( bridge ) and Blaze II (neck). http://www.extendedrangeguitar.com/m...tor/album.php?

The knobs are fillers until I can get some cool Neon green Jem style knobs.

Sorry I had to submit a link from another board,,, but I couldn't figure out how to make the pic load? and the file is too large to upload here.

Either way enjoy

Dex, I'm guessing that's a helluva guitar for the money, plus it's cool to have something all custom. How much did it set you back in total time and $$$?

Looks like the neck is scalloped. Did you do all the woodworking yourself?

in $ i think i spent $250 already, and i need $120 more to replace the singles to Dimarzio Pro Tracks.

Time, i spent alot, especially when i needed to route the body for the floyd.
and yes the neck is scalloped and i did all the woodworking.

I have (updated)

http://majingeo.no-ip.com/idol/5.jpg
The 7 string is a 7621 all stock right now but I have some EMG 81-7s that Im gonna drop in soon, Im just too lazy right now.

http://majingeo.no-ip.com/idol/6.jpg
The RG 550 has a Chandler custom pearl pickguard and the pickups are evos except for the single coil which is stock.

Hey, it's very cool looking at all these custom Ibanez guitars.....

....but can you guys post pics of the guitars in a proper way. Read: keep guitars in pics, but leave those ugly guys out of there. There is a better option out there. ;-)
