Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

Posted this back when the board was down but it seems to have disappeared...

This used to be Candy Apple RG550 which looked like this:

(that's not me in the picture)

Now i've made it into this, it was my first ibanez mod:

Logo's are windowstickers, I Fitted the guitar with a JB-4 Trembucker, a Jazz Neck humbucker and i left the stock Ibanez mid pickup in there because i liked the sound of it. I disconnected the tone control because it's always open. I stripped all the paint and applied about 10 layers of nitro-cellulose lacquer to the body. The dark spots on the body were an accident, i applied to much heat when stripping the paint off. I don't mind though...

The pickupcombo isn't the best for a basswood body, but i plan to swap pickups when i get my RG2620QM in a few months time, the Seymours should sound ok in that guitar...(right?)

Heres my submission....

The Original Natural 520...2000 RG520 that I stripped/tung oiled and installed an Air Norton/Tone Zone combo in.

A 1990 RG770 with the EMG 81, sa, 81 combo. This one may be for sale in the near future.

Hope you like.

Since that picture was taken, I took the block inlays off and left the green dots.

Here's one of my latest creations.....

A Jem body with a PGM neck and JPM electronics with EMGs.
How about that for a load of acronyms!
