Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

Well, my suggestion would be to look around on some of the various custom guitar shop Websites that do that kinda thing & get an idea of what their prices are & whatnot. One Website I can suggest that has a pricelist would be www.gmwguitars.com . In addition to building custom guitars on their own, in the past, they've done work for such companies as Ibanez, Jackson, Charvel, Washburn & others. As a matter of fact, I'll even give you the direct link to their pricelist. It's http://gmwguitars.com/paintprice.html . Anyways, hope this helps! Laters!

My RG-470 JB

Hey folks...

Ok, so aestethically, there is no major change.
However, there are many mods in this axe.

Let's show and tell...

I always loved the 'Strat' knobs, just as in JPMs.

Deluxe powerhouse: complete DiMarzio electronics: PAF Pro/HS-2/Evo 2, 500kOhm linear pots, super 5-way switch and output jack:

(Pity the Evo 2 has black polepieces...)

Floyd Rose Pro... way better than the crappy Lo-TRS!

The tremolo block is deeper, so I had to cut the backplate.

As much as I like it, it lacks a few things. (IMO)
It needs the vinces in a contrasting color, don't you think?

Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

Good spot Bamm ! I was going to do just that but didn’t want to over power the look with to much colour ,the plan with this guitar was natural, as in nothing is out standing about it in colour or in your face fancy smancy sh%t but as a whole it dose catch the eye(Kind of an organic look )
hence the blue -green vine (on the neck ) and the white pups .The paint is kind of a granite look witch doesn’t come across too well in the pics but took for ever to get right .
appreciate the comments it all good constructive criticisms .

Cheers Marty…

Hmm. What did you use to cut away at the backplate? I can't find anything sharp enough to cut through it without cutting the thing in half.

I used a drill to cut through. Then I used the tiny router bit of the Dremel tool.
Then I just sanded a bit the edges, and there you go!

I'll try to remove the backplate and shoot some pics for you to see the inside too...

(Notice the similarities with the backplate of the FGM model!)
