I took out the single coil, and put in a Fender Telecaster 3 way switch in place of the 5 way (it's not attached, I just threw it together for the pics). I didn't want to spend on a new pickguard so (get this ) I covered the old one with contact paper and cut it with a razor to fit! BTW Jeremy, awesome job one the neck, the frets are perfect! So, here's two pics of Sponge Bob, it looks better from 2 or three feet than up close.(That's not dirt on it, those are gouges)

Cool

Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

I found a MINT 1991 RG450 (with the EDGE trem) and absolutely fell in love with the way it played. I still can't believe it's an RG 4-series guitar! However, I didn't like the way it looked. It was this same red you see in the pic, but it had the stock black pickguard, etc... I was out in the garage one day, and when I looked up to see my Craftsman rollaway tool box, and the inspiration hit me. I custom ordered a true aluminum diamond-plate pickguard, headstock cover, input jack plate, and trem cavity cover from 'Sharp Concepts'. They do excellent work. Since taking this pic, I've also replaced the stock pickups with Ibanez V2-S1-V1 pickups straight from the 90s. Can't help it ... love those pickups in this guitar. Now this guitar just screams. And with my Jem10 w/ Evo's, my Jem7DBK w/ Seymour Duncans, and my "Craftsman" RG450, I get a very wide range of sounds and tones for my arsenal.

Looks really neat, and is that a RG350DX next to it?

Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

Let's see if I managed to attach the picture.. The neck is made by Ernie of ETGuitars, and it's just the perfect piece. He should have included a decal of his own; I'd rather have added that
The body is a rather beat up RG570 from 1990, like all the hardware except for the pickups (SD TB-15, stock SC and the SH-2n). I may refinish the body later, or fill the blanks with stickers.

It's great I love it. Looks very original despite being drawn from other influences. I gotta talk to ET guitars sool I need another gutiar. I want to make my own custom.

Too big of a pic though.

Okay then, these are more realistic versions of the original cartoon ones I had. They're still made on the internet, but at least they look more real.
