Ive gotta say sv300 thats gotta be one of the best modes Ive EVER seen. Reminds me of my 270 but higher quality obviously. My 270 has an orginal floyd, a seymour duncan invader, a dimarzio paf pro, and a duncan stacked single, with a hipshot tremsetter, and i also had to change the locking nut on that guitar as well. If you guys are wondering I did all this from junker parts I had laying around, and the result is a truly playable korean guitar

Neat. I normally don't like pickguards, but that black pearloid looks pretty nice against the Vampire Kiss.Painting around the pickup selector (or having a slightly smaller opening) would look great.

How do you like the Jazz 7? I was torn between getting the Jazz and the '59. I went with the '59 and have no regrets at all. Maybe i'll try the Jazz 7 in the neck of my next 7.

And i actually love the Jazz 7 its a really nice and warm pickup amazing cleans and it sounds good with distortion. Its a really good choice for the neck very versitile

How is the 59 7 in the neck im thinking of trying it in the neck of my next 7

you can't really see any mods on my RG7620, but i changed it to JPM switching on the pickups, and the tone knob isn't in the circuit. i'm thinking about getting the tone knob hole filled or covered with something, so it'd have just the one knob and the 3-way switch, nothing else:

btw...anyone have any suggestions for a pickguard color that'd look good on a GP finished guitar?

Rolled fretboard edges, 7 fret scallop, unfinished back of neck
To me they are 6 Fret scallop...

BTW, what are the Rolled Fretboard Edges?..some kind of roundness in the edge of the board?..what advantages gives you that?..

Cheers

I think it is simply for comfort to have the fingerboard "rolled off" at the edges.

do what i did , Use the tone hole to coilsplit your hum's.
u can insert there DPDT switch , or toneknob with coiltap option.

Yep, simply for comfort. Gives the neck a sort of played in feel. Same thing Fender does to their American Series. I'll post a pic again if I can dig out the digicam.

i don't want a switch on it, i want the knob or nothing...and i've already got the automatic coilsplits in the middle position on the 3-way. what i'd really like, is to find a way to just fill up that hole, and then have the finish color matched.

Here's a little something that I've done to all but one of my Ibanez guitars (haven't gotten 'round to that 5th just yet...) that's handy: I like quick access to the truss rod, as I keep things at a close tolerance, but I don't like the look of a removed truss rod cover. If it was /made/ that way (with no screw holes, etc.) that would be okay, but all of mine have them... So, I have made replacements for my covers (thereby keeping the originals in original condition) - here's a pic of one example, on my UV777BK. And, since I was at it, I was able to add a slight change for that; mirror-look instead of black...

Click to view, or right-click and save...

That's a small one of many mods that I've made, most of which are invisible. Some can be seen by going to my webspace (www link below this message) and scrolling down to go to the page with a few pictures...

It's just hand-cut and filed to shape... Took a couple of reference measurements, and off I went.
I'm pretty handy with files and other cutting instruments.
