Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

Here is my 1991 RG 550 which was modded by Joe Despagni.
Added EMG 81 and EMG 85 for neck and Bridge pu and an EMG SA which could be one of the best single coil pick ups I have heard in a long time. I also added an EMG afterburner switch for that extra CRUNCH.
Not pictured is the awesome and very neat and clean wiring job that Joe did as well as the spring retainer that he custom made for the block in order to not have the springs pop.
I have literally been called a blasphemer for modding my 550 but I now have the best sounding 550 in SW Florida. So what do I care?

Me too...

I just realized PAF pro on the bridge on a maple neck guitar will produce twangy sounds.
it so bright and so much treble...

Psycho, you have an amazing collection in the first place, what do you need with this beautiful instrument for, hehehe...So are you going to put a truss rod cover on this machine, white would definitely compliment the guitar. But you already know what you're doing...I bet it sounds amazing...You should record it and post it...

Re: Post pics of your own Custom modded Ibanez.

Thanks Dude,
Actually I built this franken RG 565/ 570 tribute for my very first electric guitar Aria pro II, which has the same look like this.
the truss rod cover is available, but missing 2 screws, so temporary I don't put it on.

for the recording things.... hehe.. that time is over. I used to have some friends who knows how to do home recording on PC, me..? not a chance, totally blind about it.
