[QN] - How to identify fake Ibanez guitars?

Say if we are bidding something on e.bay and that is like a lawsuit model. How do you effectively identify whether is it a fake or genuine stuff u are getting?

What would be the vital portion to check, or qns to ask?

Depends which models, are you talking about Jem/RGs or Les Paul copies, etc.?

It's usually pretty easy to spot a knockoff. Slight variances here and there. If ever in doubt just post it here. I GUARANTEE if it is fake, someone here will spot it

Les Paul Copies...

Well, now that I juz read more... I realized the one I am interested in, is not really a lawsuit model because it doesnt have the Gibson's moustache headstock...

If it says 'lawsuit model' the implication is that it is a real Ibanez, but a copy of another manufacturers product that Ibanez itself copied (like my beloved FA-100 is a copy of a Gibson ES-175). It doesn't imply that it is a copy of an Ibanez made by yet another brand.

It's a PF-300... worth to buy it?

Depends on the price. I've seen some awesome Greco LP Customs go for less than 450 recently. I think the Greco might be a better quality guitar. If you can get an early Artist, maybe an AR-100 from the early 80's I'd go for that as well.
