Question about RGT resale price

Hey, Im considering doing some juggling around with my gear before I move, and heres what my dilemnia is..

I am a 7 string player, so I have to have my 7 string and its backup.. Now after that, I wanna have something that I can play acoustically (for outside/etc) and something that I can teach with, so it has to be 6 strings and be able to play normal songs/rock/metal.. So what I was considering, is maybe going with a Jazz box/ hollowbody and instead of having an acoustic and a normal 6 string electric, I could replace both with one guitar.. Soo im trying to think how much that would end up costing, and how I can juggle the money around.. I think I could get 250 roughly for my acoustic.. Then for my RGT

Its a RGT with the red flame maple top, RGT42XFM or something? Anyways, Mahogany body, with EPII, DSonic/Duncan jazz combo, and in pretty decent condition (7/10ish?) with nice HSC.. How much do you think that would go for? I bought it from Ugg here for around $400 shipped, so most ideally is $500 shipped... does that sound right or could I maybe get more for it on **** or somewhere?

I was thinking of getting one of those ibanez artcore's..

Re: Question about RGT resale price

I kinda doubt you're going to get $500 for a used MIK RG. Despite the recent increase in Korean quality, they still don't hold their value as much as MIJ stuff.

Yah. I dont know if ill sell it for sure, I might try for $500 but if it doesnt go for that, I doubt id sell it for any less

Its actually Tremlo-no'd right now, so maybe that'd add abit more to price lol

Re: Question about RGT resale price

Unfortunately mods don't usually add to the value of guitars. You'd get the same amount for it with or without T-no and pickup upgrade, for the most part.

You'd be better off getting a couple V-series pickups for cheap, returning the guitar to stock, and selling the add-ons separately.

I've never seen an RGT42 pull $500. One of my brothers has 3, and they were all under 300, one was 210 or something.

Re: Question about RGT resale price

Hate that so much, when I look for certain guitars, they are all so expensive when i want it, then as soon as i buy it, market value goes down some reason =/ When I was looking for this RGT like 5 months ago, they were ALL above 400, even very poor condition ones.. now they cant get that? what bad luck
