Re: questions about Changing Pickups

nonono!!! dont cut the wires!! simply un-solder the pup wires from the relevent parts (pots and pickup switch) there are other sites that can guide you through this in great detail, but im sure a fellow forum member will fill you in more in depth, failing look in the pickups and wiring section, theres bound to be something you can use in there, good luck all the same.

If you get lost, asuming you are installing Dimarzios, they have the JEM wiring diagram on their web site.

Re: questions about Changing Pickups

Well it depends on the configuration / switches & pots and if anyone else was in the guitar prior to you getting it. I would suggest looking at the wiring diragram that meets your confiuragtion, they are easy to read. so just follow the wire colors and you will be fine.

You can also test this with out install it fully back, I would say, remove trem, remove pickguard, flip over install new pickup, then you can plug her in, use a screw driver to touch the poles on the pick ups, to hear if it works.. if ok put all back together , then go get a snack, because you will be playing this pup all night.
