Re-Finish a stained rg321?

Hi, I wonder if anyone with experience can tell me how easy it would be to re-finish the "weathered" black stained rg321?

Would it be easier to re-finish the royal blue version as I understand that has a more typical paint/laquer finish

If the body has factory paint (blue, green), then you can strip and stain, but if the raw wood has been stained (black, oiled), you will have to sand the finish off, and it still may not come out right.

I would really like to know answer to the topic question..
Since i neither like Royal Blue or Weathered black..
Although, Weathered Black would be my choice between those 2..
still, natural would be the best, but it isn't available in this region..
so,
1. what of these 2 would be better choice for refinishing in natural..
2. Is Weathered black an oil finish or not..?

Personally I would pick the Royal Blue to refinish. I did both and had a harder time with the weathered black.
