rg 370dx

my band mate wanted to buy a new guitar and wants to join the ibanez family.He checked out a couple and found the rg370dx to be in his price range.i was just worried about the edge pro II i know the bad rep of korean trems.Do you guys think its a sound investment, or should he save up for something else.Here is a list of the other guitars he was thinking about

You can find used RG550s, 520's, and 570's for $250-$300 all day long.

I use the predosessor the 270dx as a second guitar. the newer 370 is just as good, but yeah I agree save for a used 500 series or go with and RGT 42.

Yep I also put a vote in for that. Go for a used RG5xx series. You will have a superb quality guitar that is just as good as any higher-end model.
I would take an RG550 over almost any guitar, no matter what price. I just think that they cannot be beaten for the price:quality ratio. I absolutely love the RG550's and just think they are monumental in guitar history, quality axes. Chuck in some DiMarzios and you got a monster on your hands!

I picked up a 270 for a kickaround/bring to random jams-axe. I like it as much as my higher end guits.
