RG 5000?

Caught this on that auction site, and thought this would be a good guitar for a reissue.

Some kind of dealer run in '91 Japan apparently. I am sure Rich knows for sure.

Amazing find

I love it when folks discover "new" models it's like unlocking secret levels on video games or something. Even when we think we know everything about a range of guitars, there're still a few things that surprise us all

Nice. I'm not wild about the green or yellow with maple fretboards, but there could be something in a reissue.

...and it's also impossible with non-Japan models. i'm putting down some kind of an RG-database which gathers all the known RG models, of course, tracking them down from all the catalogs i can get. and i tell you, i'm freaking out.

i wonder if Ibanez ever kept track of all the models they made to these days now.

Re: RG 5000?

Thats a great color. Thanks for sharing the picture.
I think the maple neck and the mirrored pickguard really set it off.

Seems like the Japanese market gets alot of the one off, or the limited run stuff.
Thats why Ibanez needs to open a US plant.
