Ultimately you're right. I was fighting having to do that b/c a lot of the holes are just off a little but true, it will be out of sight so what's the big deal. Thanks for all the info everyone. Love this website.

Ya, to me those holes that are almost but not quit right are really aggravating. I found this really good paste to fill screw holes that need to be drilled partially in the filler. It's used for building fishing rods of all things, U-40 Rod Bond.

You have to buy enough to last 100 lifetimes of hole filling,but I've used it on a lot of other broken stuff with great results.
