I, too just got an RG570GN, definitely a great axe for the $$$, I just love the original Edge tremolo. Originally, I bought it and was going to have it refinished and change the p'ups, but so far I'm loving it. I haven't seen the finish you mention but, don't hesitate, go for it!

by the way what is the difference between the 570DX and 570EX? is it a previous denomination? the current catalog just lists them as 570 GN or RM, by color, not EX/DX.
I also had thought of changing the PU's, but i actually like V7/8's a lot.

I have no idea about what the letters are and what the differences are.

I do like the stock p'ups, I was actually only considering swapping the bridge p'up with a DiMarzio Evolution. As for the finish, I will most likely have it plated and install a mirror pickguard.....it will be the closest thing I will get to a chrome JEM.

The 570EX has Sharktooth inlay, binding, and a LoPro..

European only, I think, comes in Cyber Pink(like a slightly pink silver), or the above meantioned Royal Blue Flat..

I wish they brought these over here, that Royal Blue color is just wicked..

You're right, cooler colors overseas, even with the JS model!
