They were produced for a year or so in blue and green (at least, those were the only colors I've seen) Cool looking guitars! I don't know that they were huge sellers, but they seemed to be pretty popular at the store I was working at. I sold (2) blue and (1) green, which was pretty good for that store.

They pop up every once in awhile on that auction site- usually in the $350-450US price range.

The Blue and Green Sparkle were produced in 96 and 97 only. I bought a blue one 2 years ago for $350.00 which included a UV1000 case. I believe the model number for this particular guitar is the 517. It's a great playing guitar and if I can find a green one (I know where there is one it's just a matter of getting the owner to sell it) I'm gonna buy it!!

You mean this --> 3708118074 is an actual stock color?

When I first seen it, I thought someone went mad with the spray paint

There was a silver sparkle on EBay last week...had a little bit of wear n' tear, but it looked pretty nice. That'd probably be my first choice- it was the same silver sparkle as the Talmans had. Very cool!

Here are some facts:
Model: RG-517
Color: Blue, Green & Silver sparkle.
Specs: Identical to the RG-570 in every respect.

Total speculation section:
I have heard of this model being available in red. I have never seen one.
However, the neck that is on my JPM Marvin The Martian custom is from a 517 and showes indications that the original body color was red. This in no way confirms the rumor that the 517 was available in Red Sparkle, but it is compelling.
