RG body vs. RG7 body - size difference?

hey guys...i was just wondering if there was a difference in the size of an RG 6 string body compared to an RG 7 body or is the neck cavity just bigger on the standard RG body. thanks.

No size differences between RG & RG7. They have pretty the same size.
Only the neck pocket is a little bigger.
I think it's great, cause I don't like big sized guitars.

RG body vs. RG7 body

I'd have to disagree and say the RG7 feels/looks like a much bigger guitar. Of course its about the same as JEM to UV is. Anyone have specs? if you know for sure that they are built the same size then I'll believe you but I swear the 7-strings seem much wider and bigger then JEMS and RG 6's.

Same body and neck size, wider neck pocket and neck.

Only the new RG7 XLs have a slightly longer length due to 27" scale neck... glen

Then why doesn't my Rg-550 fit into my 7620 case? seems as if the upper horn is too long on the 550 top fit properly.

the 7 has a longer headstock for the 7th machine head This is why the JEM cases were elonged an inch or so for the UV. Same body-to-nut measurements... glen

Still doesn't explain why a "smaller" 550 does not fit the "bigger" 7620 case!

That has got to be a record of some kind.
