its from a rg*50 that has an original neck joint. so id say it is from sometime during the early 90s. i just hadn't seen any with this logo before.

My '91 has the 'RG 570' clear sticker on the back of the headstock.

Does it say "Korea" underneath the main logo? Must be like a RG350 or something like that.

I think those logos are from the EX Series from the early 90s. I could be (and probably am) wrong though.

you're right, but there's "RG Series" written on that.

my thinking is that it is either an overseas market guitar or maybe a precursor to the gio series.

The Ex , had a 'EX' text logo made from dashes kinda thing, and a small 'Ibanez' written next to it. So nope not EX related.
